Yes, the entire event is taking place at Barn Swallow Farm. There is a SHORT WALK from the parking lot to the ceremony site. Assistance can be provided if needed. The cocktail hour and lawn games are held just outside the barn and dinner will be served in the barn itself. Please keep in mind this is an indoor / outdoor venue. There will be uneven gravel, grass, and small hills to walk over throughout the day and night. Let us know if you think you will need additional assistance.

You can drive, take a car service, or use the hotel shuttle which will run at 4pm, 4:30pm, 9pm, and 9:30pm. There is plenty of available parking directly at the barn. In general, our wedding day will not be a traditional event. We are hoping for an informal intimate experience with close family and friends to express our love and solidify our family with great food, drinks, and conversations. You will not see a wedding party, group photos, DJ announcements, a bouquet toss, a dance floor or reception party.

We want you to be comfortable. This is an outdoor venue for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Tents will be used if the weather calls for rain. Mid-September weather can be unpredictable. It could be unseasonably warm or cold. Please use your best judgement when selecting your attire. We suggest semi-formal or casual chic for this unique and fun setting.

Please know that your love and company on our wedding day is what matters most to us! However, if you do wish to celebrate with a gift, a contribution towards our Searight Family wishing well would be much appreciated. Children under 12 years are welcome at this amazing fall venue. We will have lawn games during cocktail hour and a kids activity table after dinner in the barn. However, please keep in mind that children must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their safety and behavior on the property and in the barn at all times. There will be an open bar at cocktail hour with select wine, beer and hard seltzer. Once we move into the barn, we will be serving his & hers signature drinks, wine and sangria. Non alcoholic beverages will be available as well. Guests are forbidden from bringing their own alcohol on to the property. Alcohol shots and flasks are NOT permitted at this venue. No hard alcohol is allowed in the bridal/groom suites.

As you may know, James and I are not big on sharing our personal details over social media. You are more than welcome to take photos throughout the day for your own enjoyment and to share individually with us after the event.

We can't wait to celebrate our special day with you. However, there are no additional pre or post-wedding events planned. For those guest staying at the hotel, the bar will remain open until midnight.

Smoking and vaping will be permitted in the designated area only. No smoking of any kind is permitted in the bathrooms, wagon shed, barn, brick area outside the barn doors, parking lot, catering areas, grass areas, near the corn or wedding ceremony area. Cigarette litter is your responsibility to clean up, proper containers will be provided in the designated area. Medicinal or recreational marijuana use is not permitted at this venue.
